FAQ

Spicules are the latest craze to resurfacing the skin in the professional beauty industry. They use hydrolysed freshwater micro-sponge spicules which are rich in minerals, proteins and calcium that target skin regeneration and resurfacing without the use of chemicals or acids. These clinically proven microscopic spicules penetrate the skin to stimulate the regeneration process with targeted active ingredients that are delivered with the spicules to create specialised treatment results for specific skin conditions and concerns.
The Korean Spicule Peel uses microscopic, needle-like spicules derived from freshwater sponges, to penetrate up to 200 nanometers into the epidermis. This stimulates microcirculation and creates a controlled inflammatory response, encouraging rapid skin regeneration and increased collagen production.

Results vary between individuals, depending on different factors such as general health, home skin care, age, skin type, diet, smoking, and alcohol consumption.
Spicule treatment is most effective after 3-4 sessions, so we recommend a full course, 2 to 4 weeks apart, depending on the skin condition being treated. For areas on the body, and depending on the condition, a course of 6-8 sessions may be required.
As we age and are prone to environmental aggressors daily, maintenance Spicule Therapy sessions are required for long-term results and daily use of SPF50+ and educational advice on homecare is vital.
For best results it is recommended treatments are performed once every 2-3 weeks initially, followed by maintenance treatments every 3 months as needed.
